Laura Sutton, PharmD

Medical Affairs

Laura Sutton joined BELLUS Health in October 2022 as Executive Director of Medical Affairs. She brings over 25 years of medical affairs experience and leadership in the respiratory therapeutic area.

Prior to joining BELLUS, Dr. Sutton held numerous medical affairs roles over the years at GlaxoSmithKline and led U.S. strategy and medical launch planning for various assets in asthma, severe asthma and COPD. She also established and led the medical affairs team at a small medical imaging technology company. Throughout her career, Dr. Sutton has focused on engagement and collaborations with external experts in respiratory medicine.

Dr. Sutton earned her BS in Pharmacy and her PharmD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed a Residency in Drug Information and Pulmonary Medicine jointly with Glaxo Research Institute. She also holds a BS in Biology from East Carolina University.
